Mission Statement

Silhouette Stages' mission is to produce theatrical works and events that:

• for Artists, promote a welcoming, affirming, diverse, inclusive, creative environment for a broad range of talent and experience to share in the creation of high-quality theater; and

• for Audiences, bring high-quality theatrical productions and events to Howard County at an affordable price, ensuring our local community has access to the joys of the live theater experience.

Values

As a non-profit community theater, Silhouette Stages’ philosophy is to:

• Welcome volunteers regardless of age, marital status, sex, race, color, national origin, citizenship status, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability (physical or mental), genetic information, religion, or political opinion or affiliation;

• Support fellow performing arts organizations and artists in the community;

• Create volunteer opportunities for community members who are interested in the performing arts;

• Create, promote, foster, and maintain a positive working and performing environment at all times;

• Maintain affordable ticket prices to allow the community to experience live theater; and

• Create, maintain, and support partnerships with organizations within the Howard County community.
